Sustainability

Since the Beginning, Waterstone has been eco-centered and environmentally friendly since its inception. Owner and CEO Chris Kuran grew up near the ocean, spent his younger years on the water in the navy, and continues to enjoy the coast and nature with his family to this day. He understands the impact that small business makes on the environment around us all, and works hard to ensure that the practices Waterstone uses are ones that make us proud. Waterstone appreciates all of California’s environmentally conscious laws, and ensures that that every spent resource is used, re-used, and re-cycled ethically.

Practices

We don’t just talk the talk, heres a list of just a few ways Waterstone works with the environment as our priority.

• Bundling shipments in the same cargo to reduce paper waste and emissions.
• Melting and recycling 99% of brass and steel chips to reduce heavy metal waste.
• Ensuring all breakers and machines are running on cleaner, less costly 480 volt electricity.
• All water used in product testing is completely filtered, cleaned, and recycled.
• All Liquid waste is evaporated slowly and safely in a CA compliant waste system (nothing down the drain!).

The list goes on, but we think the point has been made. We take our waste management and eco-practices seriously here at Waterstone, and we hope you do too.

Our Shared Goal

As Waterstone continues to grow, the potential footprint we can leave does as well. Now, more than ever, we are pushing upward with our best foot forward. We are continuing to ensure our brass to highest standards, we continue to find ways to reduce waste and emissions, and we continue to fight for a cleaner and greener community.
